This is a split-level apartment for a teenage girl, which is part of a large family home. The ground floor includes a lounge room with a separate garden entrance, with the bedroom and ensuite bathroom upstairs. An under-the-stairs storage system houses plumbing outlets that will enable the fuss-free installation of a mini-kitchen in the future.
A Roche Bobois Bubble couch became the centrepiece of the overall design. There are bubbles everywhere: the chandelier, the hanging chair, the staircase railings, the bedhead. The walls are painted in a gradient: starting from a vivid pink on the ground floor and fading to a brilliant white in the bedroom.
Natural light floods the bathroom through a pink frosted glass door. The bathroom is finished with terrazzo, embossed ceramic tiles and coloured plaster.
